French Pyrenees Mountain Retreat 2025

Following the success of our first yoga retreat in 2024, we will be returning to La Taillede in the French Pyrenees in September 2025.
La Taillede is an ancient Catalan farmhouse, situated at 950m altitude, just outside the beautiful village of Corsavy in the Pyrenees Orientales region of France. Ali & Matt Cooper have beautifully renovated the farmhouse and created comfortable high-end holiday accommodation with amazing facilities.
With its secluded location, incredible mountain views, fresh air and wonderful sunrises, La Taillede really is rather special!
Ali & Matt run La Taillede as an eco farm and use sustainable methods to be as self-sufficient as possible. We will have the opportunity to sample some of their fresh organic produce during our stay as well as meet their friendly animals!
The local area has so much to see and do. This stunning location is perfect for outdoor activities with many routes for walking,
running and mountain biking direct from the farm. Route guides and maps are available in the accommodation. The local river has small pools ideal for wild swimming and cooling down on a warm day.
The lovely mountain village of Corsavy is walking distance with the Mediterranean coast only an hour's drive away.
We will be enjoying four nights at La Taillede (Thursday to Monday).
We want this retreat to be small and intimate so there are only a maximum of 14 places available - we suggest booking early!

Accommodation & Facilities
The accommodation is arranged into four stunning gites. Each gite has a terrace, kitchen, living area with log burner and at least one bathroom.
We will have exclusive use of the whole property during our stay including all of the facilities:
Swimming pool with large terrace and sun loungers
Sauna with cold water plunge pool
Two wood fired hot tubs
Numerous places for chilling out including meditation room, sunny terraces and hammocks dotted throughout the forest.
Audrey lives on site and is a wonderful masseuse. She is available to book at an extra cost.
Yoga and Other Activities
Let's start with the yoga!
Every day there will be at least two sessions of yoga including Richard's signature dynamic yoga (if you know you know!), as well as Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin and restorative yoga. There will be daily pranayama as well as plenty of yoga discussion.
On two of the mornings we will be organising a guided walk, one of which will be a 10k hike into the mountains accompanied by the donkeys with a picnic at the top! On Saturday morning we will take a trip to the market in Ceret.
The afternoons will give you some free time to sample the wonderful facilities at La Taillede.
You can be as active or chilled out as you like!
After dinner there will an evening activity including yoga nidra and a fun yoga quiz!

Food
Catering for the retreat will be provided by the wonderful Karolina, a chef and naturopath who specialises in delicious and healthy vegetarian and vegan cuisine.
Karolina's food is incredible and was one of the highlights of our previous retreat, so we are thrilled that she will be catering for us again this time. Karolina has also agreed to share some of her secrets by giving us a cookery demonstration.
We will be enjoying breakfast, a light lunch and dinner (with a glass of local wine should you wish). Tea, coffee and a wide selection of herbal teas will be available at all times. Dietary requirements can of course be catered for.
Getting There
Planes
Ryanair flies direct to Perpignan from London Stanstead and Birmingham. The flight takes just under two hours. Please note that flight days vary from each airport, we advise you to check with Ryanair. Transfers from Perpignan (1 hour) can be arranged if required (at extra cost).
It is also possible to fly to Barcelona, the flights tend to be cheaper and more regular than to Perpignan. Barcelona airport is around 2 1/2 hours from La Taillede by car, or there is a fast train to Figueres. Transfers from Figueres (1 hour 15 minutes) can be arranged if required (at extra cost).
Trains
The Eurostar goes to Perpignan from London St Pancreas and takes about 8 1/2 hours.
Automobiles
It is of course possible to drive, especially if you intend to extend your holiday (as we plan to do!). Please be aware that the final mile to La Taillede is quite a rough track and while it is passable by car we wouldn't advise bringing the Ferrari!
Pricing
There are three room types, each with a different price:
Shared room with a shared bathroom (shared with one other room) £695pp. **ONLY ONE (MALE) PLACE REMAINING**
Shared room with a private bathroom £750pp. **SOLD OUT**
Whole apartment for two with private bathroom £785pp. **SOLD OUT**
All rooms are for two people, single occupancy is available but will incur a £240pp surcharge.
There is limited capacity in each room type and rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We recommend booking early!
A deposit of £180 is required to secure your booking, if you cancel this is non-refundable unless we can sell your place. The full balance is due by 19th June 2025 (12 weeks before the retreat starts). Please read the terms and conditions for full details.
